nokia 2630 from carphone warehouse, are they locked?

shop.carphonewarehouse.com/pay…ck/

Just wondering if anyone works in carphone warehouse or has bought one of these...are these phones likely to be unlocked? i want it on orange but clearly on o2 i'd save a tenner...but if its going to be locked to o2 then that'll be the end of it.

yeh i bought a 2410 off them before and that was unlocked too. the fact its available on all networks makes me think its unlocked and that they just pull out the appropriate sim pack to go with it...

repped you both for your time

so I take it I can just order the O2 one then stick my current orange sim card in it?

Sorry for the dumb question but just making sure as I'm after one of these too and it seems silly to pay an extra tenna for no reason!

worto.

Shd be fine but don't tell them at CPW. I had a jumped up sales assistant and when i let it slip I was purchasing an O2 phone to stick a Voda sim in it, he had the audacity to say he could not sell me the phone if he knew I was going to out a non O2 sim in it!! Once I pay my money, whatever i do with the phone is down to me but I thought he was so arrogant!!

Well (SORRY THIS IS A BIT LATE!) when i got my LG Cookie, I said it was for O2 and as I gave an existing O2 number (my sister's) they treated it as an upgrade. My sister got £6.50 added to her phone (she doesn't top up that much!) and I got my new phone but did not have to pay the tenner!
