Non varified won my auction on Ebay for £599 looks wrong help..

Hello just wondered if anyone can give me some advice.I am selling some nursery furniture on Ebay for £599.00 I have sold 2 sets already which both have varified paypal addresses. The 3rd person however are the ones I am having doubts about 1,the didn't email me any questions about the listing 2, I am open to offers but they just payed the full amount 3,they have given me a mobile contact number 4, they haven't had ebay activity since 2005. Something just feels wrong I have emailed the buyer to say that I don't want to send these items to non varified address but will take a cheque and will dispatch goods on clearing. What do you think??Many thanks for any advice

you could ask if they would verify their address, it only takes a few minutes, it does sound strange that they have had no recent activity

If it was me then i would not send it.
You could lose the product & get no money so to be safe ask
as many questions as possible. The most they could do is cancel the sale ( i think).

i would contact the seller and pull out of this transaction i think, dont think i would risk it either

Your best and safest route is to ask the buyer for a bank transfer.
Seems a bit strange that they haven't bought since April 26th 2005 (I assume that one is your buyer ?) but it does happen.
I, personally certainly wouldn't send the goods for this amount to an unverified buyer if they are paying via Paypal.

Have you been able to confirm the buyers full address and does it check out ?

If they are an honest buyer they may still be reluctant to do a bank transfer as you don't appear to have any Return Policy ? Are you drop shipping these items ? If so have you protected yourself ?

Hello many thanks for looking into it for me I have emailed them and they haven't responded.I have checked the buyers address on 192 basic I know but I was trying everything and it showed no match not conclusive I know.My parents own a baby store and the manufacturers are delivering the furniture and assmbling them in the buyers homes so i don't really know if that means we are protected??I am definately not going to send the items.Too much against it.

Well I think you may be well advised to check out what responsibilites you have in these sales, as well as what protection YOU are offering your buyers.

This is not meant to be critical, just helpful. These things sometimes have a habit of returning and biting ones nether regions

If I can help any further just shout.

I agree.
How come you don't have Paypals buyer protection? Did you opt out of it?

Just had a look I think that it because I haven't set up a business account or premier account. My buyers have no worries as they will get there items delivered and assembled within 4 weeks.

You must have a Premier Account. If people are paying you with Paypal I can't see everybody having that much in 'cleared' funds.
I don't understand.

Before you log in make sure you see the padlock security sign.
This will tell you if you are eligible for seller protection.

If you have a problem with the direct link I'll give you step by step instructions.

Click on the refund button.

Go into your Paypal account, look for this transaction, then click on 'details'. Near the bottom of that page you will see a 'refund' option. Click on it and refund in FULL.
Have you withdrawn the money out of your Paypal account?

with my recent past experience I would say be careful, having had issues with a cheque not clearing before and being told that they can at any time cancel and claim the money back via the proper channels, I'm now reluctant to take cheques.

I've never had any problems with Postal orders. Best step is bank transfer

Non verified - my partner isnt verifie, but thata because he is lazy and doesnt really buy that much from ebay - so I can sympaphise with those that say that shouldnt be a problem - however with so many scams out there and the advice already given to me before my this forum - I wouldnt risk it -

bad feeling? dont risk it
