Get something a bit bigger than a chicken chaser. If you're determined, the CBR is the only way to go.

like I said its a commuting bike its not a debate is a question which is simply one of the 2 above answers nothing further needs writing!

cbr slow, commuter 4 stroke better on fuel will last longer
nsr fast, burns a bottle of oil a week n fuel even quicker, expect to do major engine work every 10k miles..
Tbh mate when i was pondering a bike i thought between the two - the cbr is quite small unless you get the RW version so unless your like 5ft 7 it will be too small

The nsr is a quick bike BUT the engines get raped

Get what i got the cbf 125 - pick up a new one for 2k or used for 1grand with less than 1000 on clock - done 800 and not changed the oil once and dont need to - great bike and very nippy

I agree, the four stroke one will be much better, saves fuel, smoother, quieter (had 2 and 4 strokes myself) the fuel saving will pay for the extra in a short time

ahhh, its gotta be the CBR or NSR as thats the only option I got as I need it like yesterday!

Ive been out the gym off training for 6 months and I feel like a fat old grandad, lol#
So the majority of people say the CBR and you're going for the NSR. Go for what one you fancy mate, there's no point in asking if you don't like the replies.

I would get the commuting thing out the way (on the most sensible bike) then when you want to upgrade, buy a fireblade.

I had the Suzuki 125cc en2 Last year 4 stroke that was quite nippy for getting 2 and from the gym... paid just £700 for it, did 70mph and was quite good on everything... moved house and the chavs round here wiped it away GITS!!

when I get the full license I want either the kawasaki ninji 400cc (like it) or a honda CBR fireblade 1000cc :-)

Consider the R6 as well. Nice 'in between' bike.
