o2 broadband vs Sky Broadband

As title really.
Currently i have BT for landline (free evening and weekend calls tariff) and o2 middle broadband package at £15/month which, having just browsed their site is now £17.
Have a Sky sub too and I am in a Sky enabled broadband area.
Whilst I have no idea how much i download a month, i do want to keep the unlimited if i can.
So do i carry on as i am or is Sky worth a punt?
Anyone any thoughts, genuine experience themselves?
Thanks in advance

O2 all the way.
when i was with BT they told me the highest my line would accept was 6 Mbps .
Plugged in my router after changing to O2 and now get 12 Mbps and after 9 months O2 has never let me down

I pay £15 a month for unlimited anytime calls and unlimited broadband with sky.

If you can get 02 get it, Sky's ok but nowhere near as recommended as sky.

I was with o2 and had no complaints whatsoever but I moved to sky as they offered the unlimited package for 6 months free when I was renewing my tv sub and o2 wouldn't match it so switched to sky.
Have to say not had one problem, no drop outs, no letters about download limits and I get to watch sky player free on the comp and on the xbox.

If you can get sky broadband cheaper than o2 then I would go for it.

Thanks for the replies thus far, much appreciated.
Coming up to end of year 2 with o2. 1st year was ok, lots of downtime and slow speeds but year 2 has been almost faultless.
One reason i am tempted by Sky is the facility for the new Sky+ anytime.
For the record, i am hitting 15Mb/1.3Mb with o2 so speed doesn't seem to be an issue on this line for which i am grateful for

Mines 2 mb with Sky lol, 02 are at my exchange but wont provide me because they wouldn't be able to give me a good speed because my distance from exchange. As for sky themselves, I've had no real issues like I had with BT.

My phone line:

With Sky ~ 6Mb
With O2 ~ 15Mb

Be/o2 without a doubt!

Sneaky bump if you don't mind
Anyone else please?

A lot of these speeds may be changing due to the fibre rollout by BT, you could wait and see.

The actual broadband is good
but you tend to need to phone them and get them to remove the sync limits

I was told i could get 4meg max

Line Rate - Downstream (Kbps): 20479
Line Rate - Upstream (Kbps): 990

Thats what i sync at now they have removed the limits

the upstream though i have a bit of noise on it
it would get around 1150 with o2 as sky enforce an 8db upstream noise margin
but insist its 7

Downstream noise margin is set at 7

If you are into stats and such

The reason being is without the line rental, you will be on BTs network which is damn difficult to do anything with! Once you are on the Sky network, Sky can do loads to help

Im on a llu line i would never go via bt for my data

Its still saying it at sky.com

Your Sky Broadband & Speed Estimate

You have Sky Broadband Unlimited which offers a maximum download speed of up to 20Mb

The estimate provided to you at purchase for the maximum download speed your line can support was 4.0Mb.

Hmmm.
Logged into my Sky account, entered phone number and got:
Currently we estimate that the maximum download speed your line could support is 10 - 20Mb
Bit vague really but I am sure i'd get roughly what i get now, give or take with o2, 15/16Mb.
Still not sure lol
As for the fibre optic, good shout but contract is up in Jan and doubt it'll be ready by then but i do realise it's out there

To anyone with sky, if youve got slower speeds than with other providers just phone them up, they put a limit on each line straight away. I had some problems with our phone line and after BT came to look at it they got hold of sky and changed it from 1.5mb to 10mb.
