o2 centre - where to sit?

Has anyone been to the o2 centre? Want to get tickets for friends to see Strictly Come Dancing - i.e. as much a visual as an audio event. Where is the best seating to try and get? Thanks.

Hi, I've been to the O2 for about 8 times for gigs since it opened.

Firstly look at the seating chart (…695)

Normally you want to be as near to the stage on the left as possible however looks like most of the action will happen on the stage on the right hand side this time.

A2,C2, B1 and B2 would be first choice however there won't be many seats in those blocks by the look of their size.

The areas in red, from the centre to the right hand side would therefore be my main choice. The seats are raised, so the row behind is slightly higher than the row below. The design of the venue would allow a clear view from any of these.

The seats in yellow are very high in the air and a much more severe rake on the raised tier. The ticket sites now offer a warning when you select these as so many people complained about vertigo. I still think the front few rows of the upper tier are worth having as long as you don't suffer in this way as they do offer a clear view just high. Make sure though that it's one of the blocks near to the action.

An alternative to the O2 would be the shows on currently at wembley (…24/,'eventd[/url]')

Although these went on sale a while ago and best seats went then, try ticketmaster now as often "production returns" come back to the ticket office a few days before the event. Production returns are the seats reserved for people associated with the event. An allocation is kept and if they don't take up the full allocation then these are re-sold close to the day.

I got 2nd row tickets for Madonna on the day of the event last time she played Wembley.

I went to see the spice girls there and floor seats were great, however the first tiered section was really close too, its a great venue and as long as you are not on the top tier (as it looks very steep!) you should have a great view, especially as it looks like most of the action is in the middle of the arena.
