    o2 iphone insurance

ive got iphone insurance through o2 and have misplaced my phone (lost it) :-(

but after reading the terms i dont know how i will go about it as it contradicts itself in a way by saying your coverd for loss but then says your not covered for your phone being left unattended

    here is the link ;
    o2.co.uk/iph…nce

any help to clear this up would be much apreciated

can't you say you've mis placed it in your home, and can't find it anywhere even though searched high and low?

Just say it was in your pocket and was gone when you arrived home?

"unattended in a public place" - I would read that to be, for example, you put the phone down on a table in a pub to go to the bar and when you got back, it was gone.

Loss - is, well, not knowing where you left it at all !!!

That's exactly what happened though had it round town then when I got home no iPhone,I dontwant to ring them up and just say that though as it seems a bit daft even though it's true

As long as you say that you had it in you pocket and remember that because I used it at this time and then when I checked at this time it had gone - so I must have been pick pocketted or might have fallen out... you should be ok..

They will most likely ask you to get a crime reference number from the cops....

Have you informed you service provider and can you ring your phone?

Someone must have switched it off, so either someone found it or stole it. Go to police station to get a crime number. Just tell them it was in your pocket when you were in town then it disapeared, most likely stolen.

Agree with cufc90 - that you can go to the police station but found it easier just to call your local police station (for example Leiceser is 0116 2222222)...

But first ring the insurance company and they will tell you what to do... just sound worried and naive and they will guide you through the whole process...

    Best of luck.

Say you were pickpocketed. May need a crime ref. no. as well.

Remember it has to be reported within 24 hours. (To o2 and the police)

Not sure to be honest, depends on the t&c's. I'd imagine they might cover loss of the phone but maybe not the cost of any unauthorised calls?

Hi Guys what do you think if i have sent the insurance claim form with the Police reference and stamp,
But then i have found the phone,
    What should i do,
    Or what's is gonna happened?
