o2 sim not working in unlocked phone.

Hi all.

I have a rooted galaxy s2 which is unlocked now and was on Vodafone which I've put a payg o2 sim In to.

Problem is I can get any network signal. It finds the sim and I select o2 payg from the list and can even download property moments from the store but the network not registered sign always pops up when I try to register the sim.

Any thought as to why I can use the sim in it?

It also doesn't work in just normal o2 mobiles as have tried in a friends.

That is can't get signal. Only emergency calls

How long since you used the sim? They expire after 180 days of none use.

This is a common fault with o2. There signal is shocking. *giggity*

Is the sim registered and is there any credit on it

New sim through the post. And no credit or registration that's what I'm trying to do with the 4444 number. I literally can't do a thing on it.
