Hello All,

I am currently getting 800 minutes with longweekends (2000 minutes on Sat,Sun,Mon) for £40 on a cash back deal (1/3 line rental) and the contract is due to over this month. I am happy with my phone and most probably go for some brilliant sim only deal. As I spoke to O2 staff this morning, they offered me simplicity tarriffs : online 20 (600 min + unlimited landline minutes; standard price=£20 offered me for £20 hence no discount ) and online 30(1200 min+unlimited landline minutes, standard price= £30 offered me £25 thus a discount worth £5 ). I just told them I will get back to them.

Can somebody please advise me is it the best I can get from O2 at the moment.Kindly tell us if somebody got better than this from them.

If you are happy with the fone you have, and the contract that you are currently on isn't that bad either......

Then, why don't you just sit tight for the moment and let it run....??
Then, when you do want another fone, it will be a simple exercise just to upgrade to it...

OR, sit tight for the time being, and in the New Year, or around Xmas when the Operators start to bring out even better deals upgrade to that.....

OR try and do what every other naughty person does, and says - Oh, I think I will terminate my contract - go through to the termonation part, and then ALL OF A SUDDEN (as if by magic) they offer you an even BETTER deal!

Now,, WHY they don't do this in the first place, heaven only knows, but there you go.

I am on 02, and my tarrif isn't anywhere near as competitive as yours, so..... But then, I'm not one that chases all the cheapest deals around - just happy to be purrrring down the fone to my feline friends.

hi there,

thanks for your reply. My current deal is £40 a month and the cash back redemption lasts only for the term of contract which ends this month for me. So, I would be paying effectively £40 from next month for 800 minutes and longweekends.

Used to be on contract with O2 with discounted line rental for about 3 years but this year they offered me their simplicity deals, as i couldn't be bothered to look around i excepted it.Was told you can cancel at any time with 30 days notice. Will probably look around & see what deals are going then try & cancel but knowing me i wll probably except some deal they give me in their cancel department.

And to bee honest most of them are much of a mucness - that's exactly what happened to me.
I tend to pay LOADS for Line Rental - which makes up most of my bill. I would much rather pay for lower line rental, and more texts as I don't natter on the fone for the fun of it - only wen I need to.....

Or if there is a need to find out the latest gossip!!
LOL!

So, lower line rental for me please!

And, i agree with the cancellation ploy!
