Off peak train tickets

I'm going around this off peak deal but i cant seem to understand.

I'm going to be a week in London and need to get to London Victoria (thanks to hotukdeals got a 2£ trip to Southampton - London Victoria by coach) from South Tottenham or Kingston.

    My question is:
    - if I buy the ticket on Monday at the train station is the same price as i see it online now?
    - i tried to find a off peak price but i get the same price on all routes at any time (online).

bottom line how do i get a cheap train offpeak ticket & return?

Why don't you just jump on the underground from Seven Sisters? Use an Oyster Card, and it will cost under £3
