Off to Glasgow for a break

Is there any recommendations on something to do in Glasgow. Heading here for a few days with MrsTooTough and the two young toughies. Would like something other than getting trailed around the shops.

Thanks to all, kids are 10 & 5. Alien ride sounds great. Any good places to eat there that would be ok for kids too.

    Just a suggestion....

solidrockglasgow.com/ is a cafe on the "hard rock" theme.

Actually you'd have to check that kids are welcome there too.. dont see any in the pics on their site.

you may have a problem with ur 5yo getting into alien wars. If you are near glasgow city centre theres everything, pizza hut, burger king. Mcdonalds. Noodle places italian resturant (domagios) china buffet king. sometihng to suit everyone really.

ifg you are at the transport musuem then the doctor who exhibit is just up the road

Hi, I`d recommend all the above too and also the glasgow science centre . Not as boring as the title sounds, lots of fun for all the family.

aw yeah forgot about that, it isd great loadz of hands on stuff and the imax is there to for a 3d movie

Places I'd recommend, and are kid friendly, in town would be the ]DiMaggios restaurants, there's a big one in Royal Exchange Square. There's also a TGI Fridays on Buchanan Street, the ]China Buffet King places (as Shosie said) are also kid-friendly. There are a few Wetherspoon places too like The Counting House on George Square/St Vincent Street which should be OK for the kids too.

There are lots of good museums that are all free too like the Transport Museum, Kelvingrove (although you need to buy tickets for the Doctor Who exhibition there), Gallery of Modern Art, etc.
