Should be a good day, nothing negative to say about it at all.

A good proportion of the country must, not to mention the British media and the World's media.

I can remember it was a public holiday for charles and dianas wedding-my dad and me played tennis while mum and gran were glued to the telly. William seems to be a bit more down to earth than the rest of them so good luck to him-nothing bad to say about it,but I do wonder whether the generation who really got excited about royal weddings are maybe long gone?

If they close the schools,I wonder how many kids will actually watch the wedding,or even how many parents.

I don't really think there are that many Royalists out there these days.

I really couldn't care less about a couple of kids raised in the silver spoon environment getting hitched - it is meaningless, to me anyway.

    Don't care.

I don't think there are many Royalists around these days but these events will always attract attention from even the most casual of observers.

A public holiday for the 2nd in line to the throne? Okay.

Theyn they'll blast god nows how much public money on a wedding, bad timing really.

I've always thought the only thing the royal family are good for is tourism. This wedding will probably be seen by hundreds of millions of people, they'll probably be tv shots of the cathedral, parliament square, the Royal Mall etc So at least the country will get millions of dollars/pounds worth of free advertising and hopefully re-coup the money in tourism.....

When Charles and Di got married I was in a small town in Germany and even they had it on the TV

The gov has a plan that by next year poor people won't be able to afford a tv and there won't be any poor people invited to the wedding - so no problem X)

The whole royal family, potiticians and other VIP's in 1 place....... terrorists will have already started planning.

Love weddings !!.....anyone getting married next year too?????...........<3

I was thinking that myself but I think with these events the security makes things too difficult for them. Look at all the previous Al Queda attacks in the US, here and Spain. Packed places with little or no security and maximum casualties. If they are going to do something - its the crowds they'll go for....

Very bad ! very very bad !!!! Snigger !

I'm definitely a Royalist! It's part of our heritage and national pride. The money they bring in in tourism far outweighs their costs also.

Do you think they managed to bag THIS in time?

What do you think Charles will buy William as a wedding present? Hampshire maybe?

Care about as much as I do for any other celebritard non-entity announcing wedding plans.

    You can work then.

Have no interest in the suckling Royal family, shame really that our royal family is a powerless absorbtion on our society. Also a shame because prince William is a throughly bloody spiffingly nice bloke.

Has he landed his Chinook on your lawn then He may be okay but if the reports are true I don't think much of his "friends"

There were also reports some of William's friends would whisper "doors to manual" when Kate entered the room, in reference to her mother's past career as an air hostess.

Wonder how long it will be before the royal engagement tat starts appearing on sale. Expect this weeks Sundays will have special Royal Engagement specials/pull-outs

I'm sure we'd still get tourists without them - the French seem to manage.

As for the wedding, nice that the Royal family is increasing the gene pool a bit. Can't see them being king or queen though. Surely as a country we've grown up from such childish things.
