OMD + Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra - Special 'One Off' Concert - Saturday June 20th 2009

This is not on any of the normal ticket sites, tickets are available online and in person from the venue only, so I thought I would post it incase people were not aware.

OMD are playing a special one off concert on Saturday June 20th with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra at the 1500 capacity Liverpool Philharmonic Hall (tickets £15-£35).

"Dont miss Liverpool legends OMD and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra in this exclusive performance that features OMD classics such as Enola Gay, Souvenir, Joan of Arc, Sailing on the Seven Seas and Electricity with specially written arrangements by Gary Carpenter and Ian Stephens.

Also a unique opportunity to catch the new and innovative installation project, Energy Suite. Energy Suite is a spectacular show of visual and audible art, displaying film footage that captures the architecture and sounds of five power stations in the NorthWest on big screen, whilst accompanied by a soundtrack performed by the RLPO, with orchestral arrangements by Ian Gardiner and Louis Johnson. Energy Suite was created by OMD, artist Peter Saville and filmmaker Hambi Haralambous."

Too far for me but i absoloutly LOVE OMD . they are brilliant in concert. Have fun if you do go.

As much as this is nice of you as a heads up to any OMD fans out there on this forum, its not a deal and therefore should have surely be posted in Misc?

You might well be correct, but if it had been, I would never have seen it. So thanks robertr, great price.

I did initially go to post in 'misc' but then found out that it didn't allow me to post links or photos or prices in misc, that is why I put it into deals. I thought it was important to post as many people would otherwise miss the opportunity because of the fact that it is not on the normal ticket sites.

My pleasure, this is going to be quite a stunning 'one off'.

Went to see OMD at the Arena last year and the Empire they year before. It is my husband who is a big fan but I really enjoyed it. The lead singer (showing my ignorance as I don't know his name is a fantastic dancer and the atmosphere was superb, everyone was up dancing.

The Phil is a great venue and it will be a brilliant night.

Which has removed the links and killed the deal. Yes this was a good 'deal' as where else would you have found out about it? Many people will now miss this opportunity, but they might see 1p off a tin of baked beans instead.
