On Boarding Plane Questions (includes punch and pie)

What are you allowed to take on board the plane e.g deodorant, liquids etc etc.

Does anyone have a website with the current laws saying whats allowed and what is not allowed?

thanks

so could i take 50ml of aftershave ? I don't want to get there only for them to confiscate it.

I tried googling but didn't find much.

as long as its in a clear bottle and sealed in a 1 litre resealable bag! Just not worth the hassle IMHO

yeah but make sure that the container isnt bigger than 100ml as well... and u gotta have a medium sized resealable clear bag in which all liquid contents must fit

Spray-can deodorant is a big no-no on aeroplanes. Due to their being stored in the unpressurised cargo hold and being pressurised containers themselves, they're capable of exploding. Pump-action deodorant should be fine, although it still is a highly volatile liquid, so your safest bet is to take a stick deodorant.

you can put it in your suitcase, wrapped up very well to prevent breakages.

If you are buying DF - that is fine beause she will already have been through security. You can take on your DF shopping

I can't say either way. The nugget of info was passed onto me by a friend who works for the Royal Mail, where his duty is to x-ray all the items going onto aeroplanes to ensure that there's nothing harmful getting onboard. It should be true. Either way though, they're not allowed on planes.

I don't think that is right. I can't imagine that the thousands and thousand of people who fly everyday are not carrying aerosols in the form of deodrant, shaving cream, hairspray etc.
And if it is that important why is it not made clear t o people. I have never seen this "rule" anywhere on any of the times I have flown. I mean if it was that important they would include it within the check in questionaire by the check in staff.

You reckon? I'm sure it's present on the list of things not to be included in main luggage. Hand luggage, I guess, should be okay, since the people cabin is pressurised.

This is something I'll hve to look into now. Dxx is curious.

your allowed a small plastic explosive only.
