there are 3 version of your motherboard

P4C800
P4C800 Deluxe
P4C800-E Deluxe

Somtimes mobo utils give you basic code eg P4C800 to recognise mobo etc.

Anways top 2 use 3com lan and look identical bottom 1 uses Intel Pro

Package above has all 3 drivers in the latest being 046_3c940(from the p4c800 Deluxe) and the other being 44_3c90 from p4c800

[FONT=Verdana]Sorry about that, as I thought you had another computer you were using to get onto the internet with this thread you've created - do you have a neighbour or a friend nearby, whose computer you can use to download the device drivers onto a USB memory stick?

[FONT=Verdana]Yes that's right, as at least that way it should allow for the invalid device driver to be removed from your computer.

What's the exact error message you get and have you tried the following, to see if there are any additional network device drivers present that could be causing issues?

You've lost me here :? ...I thought the problem was the device driver wasn't working and you were getting error/s when you were trying to uninstall it. For your cabled internet access, do you need to set a static IP address on it or do you get a leased IP address from a DHCP server on your router?

Basically what should be happening is I install driver and it detects and works. That messed up and I can't do a fresh driver install for some reason I'm gonna re-install windows as the whole operating system is messed up with no internet explorer etc.

[FONT=Verdana]Good luck mate! From what you've described it sounds like your getting a leased IP address from your router.

Nah I think it might be the xp install and drivers never had any other problems internet works on PS3 and laptop so all seems to be fine even though I don't know what you mean by a leased IP :P

[FONT=Verdana]A static IP address is one where you have to hard set it yourself on the network card - a leased IP address comes from generally a DHCP server, which can generally be found on a router; not all of the ADSL routers have them so that's why you have the two types in place...my thinking was your home network set-up needed you to type in the static IP address until you had advised your laptop & PS3 were working (I assume they don't have static IP addresses applied to them, i.e. ones you had to type in).
