Once: Enter our writing competition & get your Ninky-Nonk story turned into a one-off book

Mother & Baby editor Miranda Levy will select her favourite five stories, which will then be sent to In The Night Garden creator, author and composer Andrew Davenport. He will choose one winner, whose story will be made into a hardback book for you to keep. Extracts from the book will also appear in the January issue of Mother & Baby and the full story will run on our website, askamum.co.uk. Four runners-up will each receive an In The Night Garden goody bag, including a Ninky Nonk playset and other In The Night Garden toys for their baby.

Whether you're a fan of the Haahoos, Tombliboos or the Pontipines, it doesn't matter: your story can be about any aspect of In The Night Garden.

Draw inspiration from Songs And Rhymes From In The Night Garden (£12.99), a beautiful book that will take little fans (and their parents) on a delightful journey through the Night Garden as they repeat rhymes and songs with Igglepiggle, Makka Pakka and Upsy Daisy.

And, of course, your child is sure to have hundreds of In The Night Garden story ideas, so why not write your story with her help?

How To Enter

Write your own 100-word story, starting with the line 'Once upon a time In The Night Garden... it was time to go for a ride on the Ninky Nonk...' Send it with your name and daytime contact details to: In The Night Garden competition, Mother & Baby, Endeavour House, 189 Shaftesbury Avenue, London WC2H 8JG.

The closing date is October 13 2009.
