The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis are one of the all-time classic fantasy series. Many major fantasy authors writing today have credited Narnia with inspiring them when they were young including J.K. Rowling and Eoin Colfer. Published in 49 languages (most recently in Sinhala), the adventures of Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy have delved into the imaginations of children and adults alike for over fifty years.

Recently voted The Best Childrens Read of All Time (Booktrust, February 2008), the movie adaptation of The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe took $750 million at the global box office and the HarperCollins tie-in programme was the most successful ever with 15 million titles sold during the film release period.

The Magic Returns this summer with the release of The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian (Walt Disney Pictures and Walden Media 27th June 2008) directed once again by Andrew Adamson of Shrek fame. To celebrate release, HarperCollins will publish a host of lavish and magical tie-in titles this May.
