It's 15 years since the now famous Impreza Turbo hit UK streets and to celebrate evo has teamed up with Subaru to give away a WRX!

Car lovers everywhere know that when it comes to performance engineering, Subarus track record is unsurpassed. And the latest Impreza is a direct result of its rally-winning expertise, offering sporty handling, All-Wheel Drive traction and power from high-performance boxer engines.

The five-door hatch comes with a 2.5-litre turbocharged engine that produces 230PS and 320Nm of torque, propelling the car from 0-62mph in 6.5 seconds and on to a 130mph top speed. This is mated to Subarus rally developed Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system, which ensures that the WRX delivers all of its power to the tarmac, no matter the conditions.

This is backed up by safety kit including ABS with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution and Subaru Vehicle Dynamics Control. Standard equipment includes 17-inch alloy wheels, xenon headlamps, electric windows and electric heated mirrors, climate control, rear privacy glass and an MP3-compatible 10-speaker CD.

Of course, theres more to the Impreza range than just the WRX. The higher spec 255PS WRXS which adds 18-inch alloy wheels fitted with Pirelli P-Zero Nero rubber, a Prodrive exhaust, STi spoilers and more is also available. Whats more, both cars get three years servicing thrown in for no extra cost. At the top of the line-up is the STi Type UK.

It has the same turbocharged boxer engine as the WRX, but is tuned to deliver 300PS and 407Nm of torque. This means the STi Type UK has a 0-62mph time of 5.2 seconds and a top speed of 155mph. Want even more? Then go for the Prodrive Performance Pack, which boosts power to 330PS. Its available for just £799 fitted half price.

And the best news of all is that there are great finance deals to be had on the WRX, WRXS and STi Type UK. Log on to subaru.co.uk for full details. All offers are available until 30 September.

That was the Auto Express one. Same competition but different magazine. See Painkiller's word of caution above.
