Once: win a trip to Valencia with San Miguel

Explore Spain's coolest city courtesy of San Miguel

No one seems in a rush in Valencia. Everywhere you look, there are people sipping the froth off a milky coffee, watching the world go by. Strange this, for a city where there's so much to do.
Get a glimpse of old Valencia

Start in the caf?t the Hotel Melia Ingles, where the outside tables are soaked in sunshine. This one of the city's swankiest districts, making it great for window-shopping and people watching. It also puts you in pole position for wandering Valencia's ancient backstreets, where pathways are worn smooth by centuries of shuffling feet.

Five minutes away is Caf?ederland, where the rustic wooden doorway reveals a dark, intimate interior; or sit in the little square outside, where the low murmur of conversation and clinking glasses is accompanied by a soundtrack of twittering birds in the trees dotted between the tables.
When the sun goes down

Be prepared- a night out in Valencia can drift into the next morning, too. Begin at Calle Caballeros in the El Carmen district, a narrow Medieval street that's lined with bars full of people enjoying an early evening beer.

At Ghecko bar, in La Placa del Negrito (just off Calle Caballeros), tables spill out onto a brightly-lit courtyard, surrounded by old stone buildings with wonky doorways. Pull up a chair, ask the bartender to bring you a cana of San Miguel, and suddenly you'll realise why there's no need to rush
