After nearly 500 years Ingleby Manor, a stunning Grade II* 16th Century manor house nestled in a hidden valley in the North York Moors National Park, will celebrate Christmas once more in the traditional way this year. The festivities begin when a 20 ft high Christmas Tree from the woods is brought in and manhandled into position in the Great Hall to the accompaniment of Christmas Carols and the fortification of mulled wine, and end with a party in the Old Tudor Kitchen on Twelfth Night.

Apart from the feasting and festivities inside, the acres of peaceful gardens and woods surrounding Ingleby Manor are especially beautiful in the snow, and provide serious or light-hearted walks and fun for all the family.

A guest at Christmas 2007 wrote in the journal : "Sitting by the fire, close to the decorated pine tree at the bottom of the ornate stairs leading to the ballroom, was like being in dreamland! We could almost feel the majesty and traditional festivity of an Elizabethan gathering to celebrate Christmas."

Ingleby Manor offers visitors a truly unique retreat in its four self-catering apartments in the Manor House itself and a house and cottage in the grounds, all exquisitely decorated and centrally heated. Enjoy your very own Winter Wonderland short break or longer stay, and experience a piece of living history.
