Hi, I have had my car insurance quotes and 'one call' beats them all hands down. I wonder if anyone has had any experiences with this company?

lots of really bad reviews online
We had our transporter insured through one call as they were the cheapest and never had a problem with them

uk.trustpilot.com/rev….uk They have good reviews for an insurance company. As long as it's underwritten by one of the major companies everything is fine and it looks like they are

Thank you for your comments so far, I see many reviews praising the cost and for being helpful when setting up a policy but only one review sofar of how helpful the company are if a claim is made.
Is one call not just a comparison site?

Is one call not just a comparison site?

Essentially yes, from what I can see.
I found they were one of the growing trend of lowering insurance by hiking the excess, £1500 on my quotes. Makes claiming not viable for pretty much all claims other than right offs.
It depends who they recommend you go with. They are a broker and don't provide insurance themselves. I've always found the guides on mse very good to get a good deal.

Then only choose a policy that's 5* defaqto rated

Also it depends on what you want, do you want the cheapest possible to keep you legal on an old vehicle that you wouldn't claim for anyway?
Or, do you want a 5* product to protect your high value vehicle as well as the basic third party risk?

If it's the policy that monitors your journeys via the app, then avoid. The app is awful, doesn't track your trips despite being properly set up and then you get letters threatening to cancel your insurance for not using the app properly.

I hadn realised they were a comparison site, thank you for that. Definitely not interested in using an app so comments are appreciated.

5* defaqto seems to be worthless, Esure are on that list and they essentially tried to steal £1600 from me, a third of the claim value, took a year of fighting to get them to pay days before it went to court....
