One Way Car Hire - Birmingham to Luton Airport

Banned 4 replies
Found 7th Jul 2014
For various reasons, I need to be able to get to Luton airport on a Saturday.
One way.
6 people plus luggage.
Please note flying from any other airport is not an option - I need to be able to transport my group from Birmingham to Luton Airport - one way only.

I'm thinking perhaps hiring a car might be the best option. But I don't know where to begin with this as the car would need to be collected (or dropped to me) in Birmingham, and handed in at Luton airport.

Any ideas anyone?

whats wrong with coach or train?

Hertz do it for around £170 for a 7 passenger vehicle

Ah coach - good point.
£71 from Birmingham Airport to Luton Airport - journey time just over 2 hours.
Plus around £20 to get to Birmingham Airport - journey time around 20 minutes.

Think that might be my solution.

enterprise do a similar price they will pick you up and take you to the rental office

£ 176.64 GBP for a 7 seater in the city but an airport location will pick up premiums

but coach / train may well be a better option

I often use carrentals.co.uk for car hire needs.

A quick search gave me a quote of £131 for a 7-seat people carrier from Alamo or National, pick up 5:00pm 11/7 from Brum, drop-off 5:00pm 12/7 at Luton Airport.
