Online games lagging on Laptop

Banned
I have this laptop.. argos.co.uk/pro…929
Yes i know its not made for gaming and its not what i got it for but im not trying to play big games. My little one wants to play online games like miniclip but it lags so much to the point it's unplayable. I've tried suggestions from a Google search but no luck, any help would be appreciated.

I'm not a computer expert but maybe is it running a virus scan or a backup in the background. also what about starting it in safe mode with internet... maybe no help at all . or was thinking what about making another user for your kid and see if it has the same problems from that user desktop.

Never thought about that tbh, I'll give them try later on, thanks for the suggestions.

Checking out the site you mentioned they all appear to be flash games so I'd double check your flash install. Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome browsers have built in flash, so they'd be a useful cross-check.

It is a very slow CPU focused on power efficiency rather than performance. If you're coming from a mainstream laptop it could even be slower than the one it replaced. If even the simpler non-3d games on the site are lagging I'd suspect a software issue though.

If your internet speed/connection isn't an issue (eg Virgin Media 50mb or above) then as below

Update all your OS and software (including browsers)
To check software use Sumo (it's free but download the lite version here)
Then clean internet and other junk I use both CCleaner and Wise Disk Cleaner (including using it's Slimming System) - all are free (but uncheck any addons during install process)
Once you've completed the above you should then look at defragging the hard drive

It's all time consuming (defragging best left to run over night) but once you've done all you should see a lot better response

If you want to look at more then look at startups (you can check these in CCleaner) but you probably need to Google to find if you really need that particular startup process (you need graphic and audio but you don't need skype etc)
