Open return train tickets

Found 26th Dec 2017
Hi, wondering if anyone could help?

I booked some train tickets through train line. The tickets were super off peak return from London to Leicester. So the return leg of the journey has to be made within 30 days.

I reserved seats for the return journey (Leicester to London) for tomorrow. However I was wondering as the tickets expire within 30 days, could I get train back today, rather than wait until the reserved seats tomorrow?

I tried to phone train line, but they are closed for customer service today.

There won't be any issue with you catching a different train on a different time and date, as long as it's within the 30 day period. Just check and make sure that the trains are actually running as there are not normally any passenger services on Christmas day and Boxing day.
You can absolutely use the train today, rather than tomorrow.
Thanks everyone. I actually missed the trains today, but it means I can catch an earlier train tomorrow. So many thanks for letting me know
