Opening my first bank account - Advice please?

Hi, I am looking to open my first bank account at Halifax, I am 17 and am going for the cash card account.

The problem is I do not have any ID, I have looked on the internet and phoned up but am getting different information, The proof I have of ID and address is - 1 Council letter (Voting), School attendance letter (1 year old), 2 Hospital appointment letters (this month) and 2 DWP letters (about a year old).

Would they see this as enough proof from personal experience, I can possibly get my Birth Certificate before the appointment but not sure how much it costs.

Also, how long does it normally take for them to give you your card and online banking.

Sorry for all the questions, this is the first time I am opening any account.

my son had to get a doctors letter as he had no required id,cost him nearly £30

Copy of birth certificate is £9.25, apply online, would take about a week.

Planning on driving soon? Getting your provisional license would be a good idea.
