    Opening Ports Help

    Banned
Hi, I'm trying to open ports on my BT home hub 3 to enable remote play between my ps4 and tablet.

However, I can't even get it to connect. I have to open some ports apparently, which are:

    TCP 9295
    TCP 9293
    UDP 9296-9297

Have I done this correctly in the photo below?

    Thanks

Looks fine to me. Have you tested it with an online port checker? Canyouseeme.org etc..

Ah, possibly.. I don't know anything about homehubs to be honest - I recently tried to open ports on my new talktalk router and failed miserably too - it was a piece of cake on my old linksys...

Are you trying to connect from outside your network as if you are on the same network as the PS4 you shouldn't need ports opening.

I know, but I need to open ports for what I'm doing even though I'm using my wifi

You shouldn't need to open ports if its local.
The router should only block connections going in and out of the network as nothing is leaving the network it shouldn't block anything.

I've just looked it up and can't see anything about local play using Remote Play on a tablet. So try port forwarding instead of trying to open the ports.
This is BT's guide make sure the IP is to your PS4. If this works then it means it uses the internet as opposed to the lan for some reason.
