Options to add extra data to EE contract seem expensive, any advice?

HI all,

My mum has the iPhone 5C for £20 a month package that was posted on here while back with EE. It came with 2GB of allowance but she keeps going over the allowance and wants to use apps like Spotify on the go.

We called EE and they can only offer 1GB of data for 1 week for £7 which is appalling, or 10Gb for around £15 a month on top. These seem really expensive, are there definitely no other options for us? Has anyone been in the same situation and can offer any advice please?

Thanks in advance!

Don't use spotify on the go and load the phone with mp3s!
if you have spoke to EE and that's what they offered, you're best off telling your mum to move to another provider. Look on Uswitch etc.. you can get a nano sim only contract with 3 for £15 a month with 4GB data, unlimited texts and 600 mins.. and that was the first on the list..

The problem is though, we are already paying £20 a month for the contract we have now :\
OK just called them back, spoke to someone else who offered us to pay £3 extra a month for another 2GB of data, or £9 a month for an extra 10GB. So its definitely worth calling them back again if anyone else runs into the same issue!

call center lotto
You can sync spotify music as "offline" so can play it when out and about
Move to a better provider like 3 with all you can eat data
