Orange and T-Mobile

I have an Orange contract that expires in the first week of February. They are giving me a great deal to continue with them, but the problem is that the Orange signal in my home and office is absolutely terrible (even that is an understatement).

Strangely enough, T-Mobile has brilliant signal. Even though you can use each other's signals, this only happens when Orange signal goes down to ZERO.

Sorry for the long winded background, but has anyone been able to shift from Orange to T-Mobile as their primary network, but managed to keep the same plan, or do you have to go through the whole shenanigan again????

They are still being run as separate company's. There's no way to move a contract from one to the other. All they have is a roaming agreement.

It might be an option in a few years when they integrate their systems.

Why dont you go to manual network settings and select t-mobile (not automatic selection). I have been doing this for the last 4 months. This way you will always get a strong T-mobile signal and not go back to Orange.

Let me know if this helped. take care

As BIKEFREEDOM said, just select it in settings.

Just be warned though, you are limited to GPRS when you are on the other network so very limited on web browsing...
