Looking to order 3 HD DVDs from amazon.com, the total comes to $46.89, which roughly equates to £25. Will customs charge me for shipping this to the UK ? if so, how much ? and what are the limits ? thanks for your time.

No posts needed regarding HD being dead please.

Custom limit is £17 so anything above that and you likely to get charged. its luck really.

Does that total include shipping?

If the goods are over £18, you will be charged the following:

1: Add the price of goods and shipping
2: Add duty to that total (in the case of DVDs it's 3.5%)
3: Add V.A.T. (17.5%) onto this new total
4: In addition to this there may be a handling charge of between £8 and £16 depending on how it is shipped.

you may find it cheaper to purchase one of the dvds in a separate transaction, it may cost you a little more in postage but save you a lot in tax and duties!
