our trip to Dublin - post your experiences too

As many of you know, 2 weeks ago, Tracy013, my sister in law and i went to Dublin for 4 days from thurs night till monday evening.

We have posted a few pictures in the weekend thread but as it runs very quickly in there they may of been missed, i have more pictures to be developed and will post them when done. But for now i have a few and some scanned images to post.

It was our first trip to Dublin and we had planned it for a while so want to share our opinions and findings, as many hukd's have taken advantage of the ryanair flights offers! so will include price guides where i can.

Please feel free to post your own experiences, views and pictures!

We are already planning our next visit

ok to start, we flew from Gatwick thursday night at 7.55pm and landed 10 minutes early, just before 10.00pm, got a cab from the airport to our hotel in the heart of Dublin in Exchequer st called, The Central hotel, fyi this cost 25 euros but only 18 from town to airport monday afternoon, the central hotel is a great hotel, a very old building but very clean and i would def stay there again, pic:

we had a lovely breakfast inc, a buffet, help yourself, would recommend this hotel!

was interesting, would be even more so if you have an interest in guiness, book online before you go if you can to beat the q's

we also went to the guinness storehouse, it has a bar at the top that is just surrounded by glass

sunday evening was the ghost tour!

we found we were very central to everything and any taste in food could be catered to, from mcdonalds close to indian/chinese/fish n chips, and we thought the food was very reasonable in price, paying 15 euros each for a 3 course meal inc drink, i had garlic bread, followed by lasagne, then chocolate mousee with coke, good price i beleive

ok here are some pics of kilmainham Gaol,
