Hmm... I think you can, but it's on my other OS. I'll check it out, I'm sure it still works though.

Only if you pay a fee. You can't access new free hotmail accounts.

Just tried mine + it does still work. Are you sure you're using Outlook Express or MS Outlook?

In OE got to Tools, then Accounts, then Add, then Mail.

From there you should be able to input your "name" eg: Hotmail for the account to check. Click Next, input your hotmail address. Choose Incoming Server as HTTP from the drop down menu choose Hotmail. Then for Incoming Mail Server put this: services.msn.com/svc…asp

Then follow the instructions for remembering your password or not...

That should work.[/color]

I have a free account + downloaded messages today. It's an old account, so maybe it's only for new sign ups? Also, it's a .com.

Did you try the method above?

It is only the UK's 'hotmail.co.uk' accounts that require a fee to access them in OE...

All the original (non area specific)'hotmail.com' accounts access perfectly within OE (NO FEES, Totally free), just like the huge Gmail accounts now do...

Although I did setup a hotmail.co.uk account as well, I wont use it because it is not accessable by OE... I will stick to my '.com' account

Has MS got something against us in this country by any chance... ?

Yeah, that's a bit unfair  Can you still sign up as if you are in US? I know you can with Yahoo.

Anyway, why not just use gmail, as you can forward mail to any other address free.
