Paint to go on plastic playhouse

Found 28th Mar 2008
We have brought our son a playhouse for the garden, its made of plastic and had lot of shapes moulded into the plastic and I want to paint these to make them stand out more.

Do I need special paints to go onto plastic? Where would I get these from?

U can get model making paints that are specially for plastic... or spray paints... I bought some black plastic spray paint from Wilkinsons @ Haloween to spray some garden trowel fork things... to make V's (From V for Vendetta) little daggers.

Bear in mind it probably won't last long as plastic is flexible but paint sets solid and flakes.

Give it a sanding for better application.

The spray paints for plastic actually work really well.

I'd use gloss tbh for cost consideration:lol: Plastikote etc is damn expensive for what you get.

Give your son some pens and crayons. He'll do the job for you :-)

Hi, i used to work for little tikes and we used to warn people not to do this as some of the paints can errode/weaken the plastic. Not saying you shouldn't as companies do give the warnings more to cover their backs than yours, but just be aware of it.
