pan set

Hi, looking for a pan set! Found some pans on tesco, went to look at them today and they seemd very nice, heavy, well made, handles were riveted and so on... they have a nice range of individual pans in the set and in all it comes to £70 for saute pan, wok, 3 pans, stock pot and frying pan. It should be about £130 before sales and vouchers.

To be honest I don't know much about pans but I'm completely fed up with stuff sticking to my cheap ones atm and would like to spend a little more on a nice set as I love cooking. does this seem like an ok deal?

if you have actually seen them krato and they seem quality - go for it - i love anodised ones - debenhams have a nice set on sale

if you do go for tescos - split your buy up to benefit from £10 off £40

or use whatever vouchers available to get best value

buy an extra pan or something and take it back get a refund - say you made a mistake or the like

and dont forget quidco:thumbsup:

That seems very good, I just bought a morphy richards set from argos, it was 45 pounds, but now 70, but they are brilliant.

That's exactly what I was going to do! =D that's why i thought it has to be good value right? I know £70 to a proper cook is a pittence on a pan set.. but I see it as a decent investment, I'm just fed up of going through so many cheap pans! If you were to return an item what would they do about the £10 off voucher?

so you got to keep the voucher discount? lol
btw a noob I am.. what are anodized pans?

usually black nonstick - really hardwearing - i first got a frying pan - it said lifetime guarantee and i thought - oh yeah - we will see then (i love complaining) - well its lived up to it - even when food is burnt on - so easy to clean - great to cook with -
they are weightier than aluminium pans

Nice and pricey haha! The tesco ones are black.. well the wok, saute and frying pan anyway.. does that mean they're anodised? Or just coated in non stick or something?
BTW.. do you know if the sale/vouchers end tonight? or will it be tomorrow night.. If they end tonight then I only have 50minutes to buy and I still haven't 100% made my mind up :s

i would say tesco ones are black non stick - cant really explain anodised but they are far superior to any non stick -

try and get out tomorrow and see the difference - saying that the tesco ones look nice pans and you have seen them -

Pitty I don't have a bit more money I would get anodised just on what you say! Pushing it at 70 really, I have my mums, sisters, and OH's birthday coming up in the next 3 weeks =[ I tried to get away with buying them my mum but she knows I do the cooking lol

At least I'll have a bit more time to think it through.. now I just have to make sure they don't go OOS lol

dont think about i too long - wouldnt want you to miss out on bargains and vouchers

at least you have now realised when you buy cheap pans that what your getting - buy a good set and they' ll last for years

Indeed- it works out cheaper in the long run I guess! It's just finding that lump sum to spend on them in the first place, I'd deffinately spend a lot more if I had it!
The voucher says one per customer, do you know if you can set up a few accounts with the same card? lol
