Info:

The ultimate screen technology – OLED
Welcome to the ultimate TV screen technology - OLED. Organic Light-Emitting Diode - OLED - TV offers perhaps the most advanced picture quality currently available. Unlike LED screens, OLED doesn't require backlighting, so the colour is consistent right across the screen, with greatly enhanced contrast levels.

Panasonic HCX Video Processing Engine
Featuring Dynamic LUT (Look-Up Table), this sophisticated new processor monitors the brightness of each scene to deliver the truest, most accurate colour. With this level of colour accuracy, pictures look truer to life and more realistic than ever before.

HDR10 and HLG
This Panasonic 65 inch TV is compatible with HDR (High Dynamic Range). HDR extends the range of colours for enhanced realism. It also delivers brighter whites and darker blacks, helping to give this TV stunning levels of contrast. HDR10 and HLG formats are both covered. HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma HDR) is a broadcast and user generated standard format that is set to become the standard for transmitting 4K signals.

HDR10+
Taking HDR technology to new highs, HDR10+ offers scene-by-scene HDR mastering for the truest, most accurate HDR picture technology to date. With HDR10+ each scene is optimised, meaning the maximum amount of detail is shown – even in the brightest or darkest moments.

Sound tuned by Technics
Developed in conjunction with legendary sound experts, Technics, this Panasonic TV’s soundbar has no fewer than 12 drivers. Active and passive bass units provide a rich, deep sound with the power needed to drive along action movies. The independent stereo tweeters ensure crisp detail and vocals that are precise and clear.

Voice Assistant – Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa compatible*
Voice Assistant means you simply have to speak to bring up content and search results. Now featuring Google Home and Amazon Alexa (via firmware update), Voice Assistant is more powerful than ever. Google Home integrates with services such as Google Photos and Google Maps to make your TV an even greater source of entertainment. *Requires compatible Alexa or Google speaker.

Bringing it all together
When it comes to smart TV flexibility, this Panasonic 65 inch OLED has all the features you need. A full web browser complements a wide range of web apps. DLNA certified streaming makes it easy to transfer music and video files from your home computer, laptop or NAS drive to the TV. Also standard is Swipe and Share functionality. Swipe and share lets you use the Panasonic Remote TV app for smartphone media sharing. By using the app on your smartphone or tablet you can easily stream pictures, 4K videos and music straight to the TV - no cables required.

Twin tuners and Freesat HD for flexible viewing
As well as Freeview HD, the Panasonic also boasts Freesat HD. This is a great, subscription-free, alternative to other satellite TV providers and offers all main stations usually available via digital 'aerial' TV. With twin tuners on board you can record onto a USB-linked device while watching a different channel, simultaneously.

Freeview Play for easy access to catch-up TV
This Panasonic also features Freeview Play. This combines catch-up TV, on-demand services and live television to make it easy to watch what you want, when you want. It's free from subscription and compatible with existing broadband services, while BBC iPlayer, ITV Player, All 4 and Demand 5 are available without having to open specific apps, giving effortless scroll-back TV (requires broadband Internet connection with a minimum speed of 2Mbps).

Ultimate sound and vision come together to make this Panasonic OLED a true reference in its class.

It's 2018 model.
But does it have 3D?

How does this compare to the LG B9/C9 ?

How does this compare to the LG B9/C9 ?

The main thing to be aware of is that the 2018 FZ series supports HDR10+, but lacks Dolby Vision. The 2019 GZ series supports both formats. The LG range only support Dolby Vision but not HDR10+.

The FZ802 and FZ952 are 2018 models and more comparable to the LG C8 and E8 from the same year. It's the 2018 HDTV Test Shootout winner for most accurate picture quality. They're also the one manufacturer where an argument can be made that a calibration is in most cases pointless. Just use Professional or THX picture modes.

LG's 2019 and upcoming 2020 models unique feature is full HDMI 2.1 support, they're literally the only manufacturer in the OLED category that has full HDMI 2.1. The main benefit there is support for 4K 120Hz in addition to all 2.1 features of VRR, eARC and ALLM.

If those features aren't important to you then you certainly can't go wrong with this Panny deal for the price.

Personally I think LG's greatest strength is with their WebOS, the app support and unique pointer remote -- bur personally I prefer Panasonic's uncannily accurate skin tones and motion handling vs. the LG.

Anyone would easily be happy with either though if not comparing side-by-side.

Thanks for the breakdown, due to the HDMI 2.1 support I have went with LG B9 in the hope that the new consoles make use of it.
