First lesson...women don't appreciate romance, 'cheap'.

Like.... It's no good pressing half dead flowers in her hands and telling her 'it's the thought that counts' when the reality is you've picked them up for 50p late night at the supermarket...same with Paris, do it properly, or not at all.

so what do ya recommend ?

I am a women and if that special person in my life took me to paris never mind how cheap I would be over the moon. It doesn't matter where you go as long as its together spending quality time.

Hmm, well i guess it depends on the type of women and what they find "romantic"

but yeh booked the flights and hotel, just having trouble on things to do during the weekend stay

Never been myself but I am sure there is lots to do and look at, maybe try google, places to go for some inspiration.

the dinner cruises on the seine(if thats what you mean) are utter crap! they squeeze soo many tables onto the boats the waiters are pushing past you all the time-far too noisy-too many people yakking away in a very small space-seriously,they look soo romantic in theory but they are horrendous! quality of food is not good for what you pay either.

if you are in paris,go to a decent restaurant instead, and then just do the night cruise on an ordinary seine boat to see the sights.(btw-these arent all they are cracked up to be either-recorded commentary isnt too clever and they dont really go very far)

dont get me wrong-I love paris, but best advice is avoid all the" touristy" stuff-get a map and a travel card and go round the sights yourself. read tripadvisor for restaurants etc-you want romance, you will NOT get it by paying for tourist trash trips and dinner cruises.

do some research and take your oh there yourself.

Paris is romantic enough...as the lady says, walk, talk and 'be' together...hand in hand walking by the Seine is magic. Focus on each other with the City the backdrop...nothing else is needed
