Going to Paris with the wife in March

Can anyone recommend a nice hotel or any good deals on hotels in Paris

Also the best area to stay in and best way to get from the airport to Paris we land at 8:00pm

best way to get around - been to Paris 5 yrs running and this is the cheapest and the best…htm
unfortunately this yr ( bought one last week) went up to 30 euros - but till a bargain covers all transportation

Me and the missus went a few years ago and went through Railbookers (Link to the paris part:…ris).

We stayed in the 3* Mercure Terminus Nord. Which is a nice little hotel opposite guard de nord and also has a metro station just outside too.

I phoned to book with Railbookers and told them the times and dates and the guy i spoke to informed me that if i went and hour earlier and came back 2 hours later it would be cheaper for me to travel first class on the eurostar, which we did, had a three course meal, champagne and loads a wine
Also though the site you can book your metro passes for as long as you need them as well as a tickets that let you in to all the museums etc which we did. They then send it all to your house so its all in one package, very handy

My brother also went to paris with them and had no problems at all.

Ive been looking for about 3 months for some good deals for my trip next month, the best deals you will find for 'good' hotels i.e. 4 star good names are in places like La Defense which is the business district and in the southwest of Paris, however, this is right on the edge of the metro system, but still only around 3 miles from central paris. Sign up to a cashback site and you'll get up to 10% for certain sites such as expedia or, and keep your eye out for any vouchers ( i think there was a 10% off expedia one posted on here) Ive found most of the hotels to be ridiculously expensive, but there are a few good deals to be had depending on your length of stay, and especially if you use the codes on here and cashback.

Have a look at ]Timhotel, a range of budget hotels in the Paris area. I stayed at the one on Pigalle, that one is good for spicy night life.

any more info from anyone

where are you landing, Beauvais, Orly, or CDG airport? and is that 8pm or 8am? i presume the former... I was looking for similar info for myself then just decided it was easier to get the eurostar right to the centre of Paris...

There are loads of Ibis hotels in paris, cheap & cheerful. Have a great time.
