    Parking Ticket

I went to the gym from work tonight & parked in what I thought was a free car park, which is used by railusers.
To my dissapointment when I returned to my car two hours later, I had a parking ticket, the ticket stated that I was not a rail user & therefore have to pay the fine of £30 within 7 days.

The carpark does have signs & i suppose its my own fault for not reading them, does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do to avoid paying this fee.

    There is your answer...
The only suggestion is you will have to pay it. You have just admitted you were at fault :?

Blag a Train Ticket of somebody or look for one in the bins. Then turn around and say I am a Rail User, here's my ticket.

There are always tickets on the trains stuffed down the sides of the seats etc, Not easy to get though (As you'd still need to make a train journey!

I take it the ticket has the time it was printed?

It was issued at around 17:10. :-(

Sorry I mean do rail tickets have the time they were issued? or just the day, Month and year?

    Original Poster

unfortunately they do have a date & time of issue, i feel sick as a pig, this means that the gym has cost me double this month. :-(

I suppose to be a rail user you technically have to get a train?

Would buying a drink, food or going to the toilet count as using rail services? (if it was on the platform), Technically you're still using rail services?
