    PASSWORDS

Does anyone use a central place to keep track of all their passwords?

Getting increasingly annoyed and new password requests on websites that now state, must be 9 letters or more and 2 numbers....I cannot cope with so many different ones.

Grateful for any simple and safe suggestions please

just put in the site name with a random few numbers but always keep the numbers the same

    eg. hotuk18245

I just remember them and if i happen to forget them i do 'forgot password'

I keep some new ones in draft emails in my email account, once i get used to them delete them

I usually just end up hitting the 'forgot my password' for them to send it to my email.

Thanks but sooo time consuming, especially sites that take a while to respond. Get fed up and then don't bother!!

Have never written passwords / PIN numbers down anywhere. I am not sure that is safe enough for me

i use a passworded word document. Unfortunately it only took 4hrs for a dictionary attack.

i just use password12 or qwerty12 nice and easy

    Is it whatsThePoint

I use mSecure. Cost me about £12.00 all in all but have it on my pc, android phone and ipod touch so can access it wherever I am. Only pay once for life unlike others which charge yearly.

I use the free version of Roboform, it only allows 10 individual passcards but I try to use the same password for most websites and have this as the password in my identity so can just click on my details as though was filling in a name/address etc form and it puts in my regular password, any special ones that need something more secure I make a passcard for, is a bit limited but works for me!

Cannot seem to download this. Appears I have to download Mozilla first?

I have a little stack of books a few feet away from me and most of my passwords are a combination of a word taken from their spines combined with a specific series of numbers. It means I can keep them in sight for easy reminding but to anyone else it's just a stack of books.

Sainsburys entertainment wanted me to create a password with lower case + numbers + uppercase letters.

couldnt be arsed to buy what i wanted

lastpass.com/ - It will work on pretty much any browser you just need the right version.

amazes me that people write them down, use the same one repeatedly etc and dont use proper free software that creates, stores and retrieves them all for free. Far more secure and normally come with excellent form fillers too. I store all my bank logins, debit & credit card info on them too so buying things takes seconds.

That is exactly what I mean....websites seem to be demanding larger passwords and that is what is becoming unmanagable.
