Can anyone tell me if £65 per sq metre is reasonable to have my driveway done with patterned concrete?

i thought we paid forty something m2...

Most of the cost of laying a drive seems to go in (or should go in) the preparation of the ground so that the cost doesn't seem to differ much whether you choose concrete block, patterned concrete or tarmac. Only a gravel drive seems to be markedly cheaper. After a lot of research and receiving some wildly differing prices recently we managed to get reliable quotes for patterned concrete that averaged £50 per m2 so I'd get more quotes and aim for that or better if I were you. However our drive was 170 m2 so we decided to go for concrete block in the end as repairs would be easier if needed.

i think you're right he started at 50..and came down for cash. ours is around 50m2 and i think we paid £2200 eventually..included a large semi-circular step he edged with bricks and filled with concrete..i have never been sorry cos it looks amazing.
