I'm currently 19 and was wondering whether I have to pay for prescriptions or not I'm still in education and parents receive child tax and working tax credit?

And is there a form you have to fill in.

It looks like it will depend on the level of household income, do your parents have an exemption certificate? If so this will cover you as a dependant if not you may be able to apply for an exemption on the grounds of low income.

i thought prescriptions in wales were free like up here in scotland
Best solution is ring a chemist. It doesn't have to be yours so ask as much questions as you like

exactly, clearly the education isnt that great where he/she goes
I'm sure this site employs people to make daft questions on quiet days.

yep, its only England where people pay.

i was really surprised when i moved to Wales that they were free after paying £8 per go in England.

bizzare really when you think all the money comes from the same pot, but thats a different conversation...
