have you found your paypal account hacked ?

Can't login? ring paypal on 0870 7307191

noticed unusual activity on your account?

Inform your bank if any money has been debited from your bank.
Inform paypal on 0870 7307191 that you have dubious activity
Fill out a paypal dispute for the transactions.

How not to get account issues?

NEVER EVER open an email from paypal / ebay...
NEVER EVER give your password away
make sure your password is 8 characters minimum and a mixture of #'s and letters
Make sure your email account linked to paypal is upto date as paypal will
send an email of any activity on your account.
ALWAYS open a browser window and type the paypal address
NEVER click any paypal links on websites / emails
ALWAYS check your bank account for suspicious paypal debits

1 - Wrong E-Mail Address

Any E-mail Sent to an E-mail Address that is Not Your Primary Pay Pal E-mail Account is more then likely a scam.

2 - Fake links

After you click on the Link if it doesn't Start paypal.com then it is a Fake Link. Even if it says Paypal in it somewhere it is a Fake Link. The term "https" should always precede any website address where you enter personal information. The "s" stands for secure. If you don't see "https," you're not in a secure web session, and you should not enter data.
(This goes for any payment Processor including your online Bank Accounts)

3 - Subject Lines

Subject like Please Restore Your Account Access.

4 - Generic greetings

Lot's of emails begin with a Greeting, such as: "Dear PayPal member. Paypal knows the name you used when you registered your account

5 - Action Required Now

Many Fake emails try to trick you with the threat that your account is in jeopardy if you don't sign in and fix it NOW!

6 - HTML Emails

Emails that appear to be websites. Some emails will look like a website in order to get you to enter personal information. PayPal never asks for personal information in an e-mail.

7. Misspellings and bad grammar

Fake emails may contain misspellings, incorrect grammar, missing words. Many Times these are used to trick the E-mail Filters


If your ebay account is hacked do the following

contact ebay live support on cschatlb-na.corp.ebay.com/cha…=15

you will need to verify your identity

YOU MUST have access to your email account linked to the ebay account so keep it updated. If your ebay account has been hacked
its likely that your email account has been hacked .... Recover your account by using the forgot password tool.

ALWAYS MAKE SURE YOUR PASSWORD IS SECURE AND DO NOT GIVE THE PASSWORD OUT.

paypal and ebay accounts are easy targets for crooks as people are not resillient with them.

following the above information will mean your less likely to have to have your account violated

REMEMBER TO ALWAYS IGNORE PAYPAL AND EBAY EMAILS .... ALWAYS TYPE THE ADDRESS INTO THE BROWSER AS ANYTHING PAYPAL / EBAY EMAIL YOU WITH
WILL BE DISPLAYED IN YOUR ACCOUNT.

PAYPAL AND EBAY LINKS SHOULD START httpS:// to mean a secure server and the paypal and ebay information will be displayed by clicking the padlock in your browser
