ME TOO!!!

So confused you started 2 threads on the same subject

Just in case you lost track of the original... hotukdeals.com/ite…ed/

Well I know personal accounts can accept funds from personal accounts without charge, only get charged if someone sends money from a debit or credit card.

I think maybe when you accepted first one you kinda said it was ok for all but not sure as I dont use PP anymore

Well in answer to your question. With a personal account you can accept 2 credit card transactions, any more and you have to upgrade to a premier account. Either way you get charged for the CC funded ones. Word of advice, don't upgrade as you get charged for ALL transactions, even if its paypal funds/debit card

So am i to assume that whoever paid for the two transactions that were not charged, use a debit card in their paypal account and i dont want to upgrade but i have listed about 5 items and ebay say i have to use paypal as a method, how do i get out of that one

That's ebay's plan, to get everybody to upgrade their accounts on paypal so they can rake even more off the top:x Was a time you could say no credit card funded paypal or ask for fees, but that's against the rules now :-(

sounds like im going to have to upgrade then soon as i tried to alter the payment method tonight and it says
"Because of your limited transaction history on eBay, you must offer PayPal as a payment method for this listing"
as i have more items to list. I suppose i could add in the listing that paypal is not the prefered method of payment

There really isn't an easy way round it. Some sellers used to add the fees into the p&p then offer a discount if you paid by cheque etc. Ebay have pretty much closed that down thanks to the DSR's, if you do that you can guarantee that you'll get marked down and look like a bad seller. Have you not tried selling you stuff on here or other forums, or is it too 'specialised'?

I have never thought about selling elsewhere bt i will bear it in mind. Most of the listings at the moment are collection only so its not too bad. Maybe i will sell through my sisters account as she doesnt have to use paypal yet. Did you say that everyone will have to offer paypal as a payment method soon????

Yeah, from the end of April...

On personal collection you can specify cash only though. Just put in the listing 'Due to ebay rules I have to offer paypal as a payment method, all personally collected items must be paid in cash'. That's what the wife does on her dads listings ;-)
