what address is the email from?

Do they use your full name etc?

Whats the address when you hover over the link ?

Is there anything like this when you log into your account from paypal.com direct?

never reply to the email, go to your paypal on the www.paypal.com site and log in there

If they've suspended it already log in via www.paypal.com

if your suspended itll say

if your not its a scam.

Id say its a scam anyway - paypal never ask you to put your details in anywhere except www.paypal.com

Yeah, they're pretty much always scams. Never ever click on the links in an email "from" PayPal!!

Always type www.paypal.com/uk into your address bar and log in from there. If there is something wrong with your account then it will be flagged on the website.

HAHAHA. I wonder how many seconds between those posts?? How cool.

100% agree with Loupomm.
Whether it's supposedly your bank, Paypal, ebay, whoever...if in doubt, DON'T TOUCH THE LINK...go via your own link in favorites or search the for the website in question.

Edit - & now Duck & t0mm

I've had a few of these scam emails in the last few days. Looks like they are going around again (did they ever go away).

On jewel-encrusted pillows?

I got one of these last week and forwarded it on to paypal and they replied saying "Thanks for taking an active role by reporting suspicious-looking emails.
The email you forwarded to us is a phishing email, and our security team
is working to disable it."

In the past, I forwarded many such fraudulent emails to paypal. In return, all of us get hit by higher fees by the ebay group of companies. How nice of them to return the favour!

Information from pay pal, they also ask you to forward any messages on to spoof, spoof@paypal.com

Remember, PayPal will never ask you for your password in an e-mail.
There are no exceptions to this policy. If someone claiming to be from
PayPal asks you for your password in response to an e-mail, you should
refuse to provide it and contact us. To contact PayPal, go to the PayPal
Help Center and click the "Contact Us" link

But then again i wouldnt suggest clicking on links from forums either :whistling:

]paypal.com

it's a scam do not open, try to bounce the email back.

One important bit of info, that will help you identify it as a scam in seconds...is how they address you. Paypal will always address you with your full name:

Dear Bob Bobbins

Anything else, such as Customer, Valued Customer, Sir, Madam, Paypal User etc etc is from a scammer.

I like to enter lots of lovely swear words into the fake websites. I like to think a little peice of the scammer dies when he reads it
