for £632.49....any good?...Better than what i have basically?

I really don't like the antec 300 - very thin metal. Just preference but have a look at the cm dominator, similar price. Scan often do the dominator and a 650w corsair for £100.

it seems like you are going for a gamer pc

go for the antec 902 of coolermaster haf (the one in same price range)

seriously, with a 300 youre gonna have heating problems.

and if you can hold out, DX11 is out in two weeks hopefully everyone is speculating a price drop on cards and evem if that doesnt happen, best to hold out wait and see....

dont worry...COD MW 2 isnt out until november woohoo lol

+ A card of your choice (Or wait to see if they drop after DX11)

The 300 is an excellent case, pair it with some decent fans and you will be fine.

That's just stupid to say you'll have heating problems with a 300. It's an excellent case and comes with 2 120mm fans and a 140mm fan. I have them all set to low, PC is silent and its very cool (30 deg C).

Don't waste your money on a case unless your into that. The 300 is definitely good enough.

If you can afford it, go i5 or preferably i7 for future compatibility.

Just add whatever graphics card you want to that. If your budget allows, spend a little more on the motherboard and upgrade RAM to 6GB for £24.

its not stupid man. the case is v.v. compact and future upgrades will be a problem aswell. especially water cooling in such a tight case or maybe two cards.

the 902 has better ventilation. especially if youre gonna be gaming it is an exceptional case

Mine comes in at about the same price (CPU about £4 cheaper at scan if you get free del) and you get a 4890OC included. Raid0 the seagates.

Or if you still have cash you could ditch the 4890 and for about another £100 add a 4870x2 2gb.

Unless your one of these obsessed guys, you don't need watercooling or any nonsense like that. Just buy a PC and be happy with it. Want to overclock 2 years down the line? Don't bother buying a £100 watercooling kit, just upgrade the CPU and overclock on air.

    keep with the q6600

An EcoGreen would hold back that system, they're not a fastest.

its got nothing to do with being obsessed jazzy. its common sense. the 902 WILL provide better cooling than the 300. FACT. with or without air.

people go watercooled for various reason, noise reduction and overall better cooling. when the pc is on all day and you have thin walls it helps to make as less noise as possible.

also, overclocking is an art which can extend the life of the PC if done correctly. why cough up for new parts? overclock and speed up the PC if need be.

the OP seems like a casual gamer who would have his system last. the 902 is an excellent choice as it is also future proof. what if the OP decides to go sli? or a dedicated audio card or a tv card or another card to run physx?

    300 is gonna have problems.

Even tough, as I stated, I don't like the antec 300 I think it is OTT to say he will have problems. A bigger case would be easier to build in, have more room for upgrade and better airflow - but plenty of ppl have had no problems building faster rigs than this is 300s.
