PC Keyboard with good range (5m+)

Am looking for a wireless pc keyboard with a decent 5 metres plus range for use in the lounge. Have one at the moment but keys are too close together (no seperate section for arrow keys and page up etc). Also backspace key too small!

How much you looking to pay?

:thumbsup:I use a ]Logitech 650 Keyboard with a wireless mouse. Use rechargeable batteries in mouse but still on the supplied battery in the keyboard 1 year on. Good range

thanks for the replies, am looking to spend upto 30-40 quid.

am torn between 190164423451 and 160170614033 on ebay.

prefer the keyboard in the keyboard and mouse bundle because it's spaced out a bit better and has media buttons too.

but still like the keyboard with the touchpad as it's spaced out enough and the backspace button is big enough. Also like the idea of built in touchpad (currently use a wireless trackball but would be useful to have the touchpad as an alternative when using the keyboard). It's a bit cheaper too and the shape's probably better for using on your lap (more of a square shape).

Could just replace broken media centre remote to do the media controls as I'll probably do that soon anyway, probably wouldn't use keyboard to control media as it's a bit too big!

    What do you guys think?

Also looking for a better range for my wireless trackball. Mine is great to use but only get about 3m, need a good 6 really.

What da ya think of that? Good range but probably wouldn't fit in hand too well, my one is like a gun to hold so you can use it standing up etc, don't need to rest it on a surface.

That could be the one, long range, easy to hold in hand and seems to have media/internet functions built in which would be really useful.

Just noticed on the keyboard with touchpad, it appears not to be a standard qwerty keyboard layout, not sure if it's just my eyes tho?

quite an astute observation! you're right, it's not qwerty... some of the keys are in funny positions!

I have a wireless keyb/mouse and I'd much prefer an all-in-one rather than a wireless mouse while on the sofa, etc...

Look up the wireless trackballs that I posted above, the one with media/internet functions looks great. Looks like I'm going to have to go with the other keyboard now, it's a nicer keyboard but shame about not having a touchpad too. The wireless trackball is ok but to type with both hands you have to rest it on your lap and it falls off and breaks quite often.

I looked up qwertz and it appears that they are meant for germany etc where they hardly use the letter y and always use the letter z. Bit dodgy that they don't specify that on their auction page, although I have e-mailed them as it may just be a picture and they didn't realise (ie the real one may be qwerty).

I need an all-in-one I have a wireless keyb/mouse so not in a rush, but it's not the perfect solution

190164784360 Shows it as a qwerty layout although the picture is a bit funny.

Plenty of keyboards available with a trackball intergrated but not sure about the range on them. Plus I think I'd rather use a touchpad than a trackball if it was intergrated into a keyboard.

Had a reply back from the seller of the original one with a touchpad and he's confirmed that it is a standard qwerty layout so I may go for that one now.

If you're buying from eBay make sure you get a confirmation from the seller (in email) regarding the range.... they could always reject a return as they state 'up to' when specifying the range!

Just realised it is the same seller for both those keyboards! Strange why he uses two different pictures.

Don't think it'd make any difference confirming the range with them. In perfect conditions then keyboard will do 10m, they are not going to guarentee that it'll do that in your home. They'll just say the keyboard technically is capable of that.

Thanks, but out of stock and think I prefer one with a touchpad.
