Forget Celeron....Rubbish.... look for something with Pentium or Athlon64

hotukdeals.com/for…422

Leaves you £200 to buy yourself a nice tft monitor...

Crazylegs is right, that currys offer is poor.
that ebuyer offer with £200 left over and some change can get you two of these:

thanks guys want to buy something in store from shop and not from net?

any help

whats your reason for wanting to buy instore?...its just there are so much more better deals online!

I would try and get an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, dedicated 128/256 GPU, 1-2 Gig Ram, 100Gig or greater HD. You will need this to future proof and run Vista Premium.

Makes no sense not to buy online if the deal is better. Dell aren't the biggest PC dealer for no reason.

This deal was posted previously can be had fof close to £400, would upgrade the GPU though.

£468.98 with a 19 inch monitor delivered, another £50 to upgrade the GPU to dedicated.

wishful thinking with a monitor on that budget?

Your link only shows a picture and nothing else and it is a poor performer to be honest. You really are buying 4 year old technology at the very least. And are you sure the specs are correct? Why is it a mobile celeron pre built into a desktop pc?

Also if your buying offline you are limited and are not going to get the best deal to be honest.

thanks all, just want to go into store and pick one up,
dell is a no go, just wondered if there were any good store deals, pc world/ currys, etc...

dont want to purchase via dell thou

If you're adament of an instore-only purchase, there is always this one for £529.99. You get a lot more for your money than the celeron desktop you originally posted]]Acer T180 Athlon Dual Core 4000+

\Right mate, basically you may be better off going to a smaller dedicated PC shop and having them build one for you.

For £400 you should get a decent little system to suit you. I take it you just want a basic setup yeah?

Even if you do it's pointless going for old technology as in your original post.
