Got them for £23 - at the moment about £60 BUT they will put these on Today only so keep looking. I think you will be very happy with them.

Another vote for the Logitech from me. Best set I've ever bought... I've now got 2 (1 for me and 1 for my daughter)

    Cheers

Don't confuse the X-230s recommended above with the X-240s

The X-240s are a newer model that, by and large are considered poorer than the X-230s they replace: just to confuse things further, when dealing with 5.1 sets, the X-540s (which look pretty much the same as the 240s) are considerably better than the X-530s (that look like the 230s) that they replaced.

The X-230s are nice and compact, so won't take up much space, are well built, available just about everywhere and sound really quite nice. (no wonder theyre so popular)

Just to be different, however, Im going to point you at something bigger, less refined and louder

If your hoping to get the room shaking on the cheap, then I suspect these will be more suitable, plus I expect their mid-range sound will be significantly better than the x-230s. If your after something quieter, with more clarity (particularly on the bass) then count me in amongst the x-230 recommendations

Can anyone compare the logitechs to the Creative Labs SBS 380 Speaker System which is £14 at play.

    Both get excellent reviews.

they are both probably good for the price...depends whether you want a better sound for a little bit more really.

It is quite difficult. The logitechs have it on looks and most likely sound

The Creative have it on size and cost!

I think what is likely to swing it is that the logitechs are wall mountable and just look a bit cooler.

    Many thanks

I bought these for a present for someone for xmas just gone & i was a little bit jealous, they are awesome sounding & very sexy looking for desktop PC use. :w00t:

They even have a little mini control for your desktop, for easy access volume control & headphone usage!
