    PC Upgrade Time

Its that time again, so lets do this!

    At the minute i have:

    AMD Athlon x2 5800 @ 3Ghz
    3Gb 800Mhz DDR2 Memory
AsRock a-Live Dual e-Sata (Yea yea i Had an AGP graphics card when i last upgraded)

I dont really want to spend more than £200 to upgrade these parts of my PC

The other parts are ok as i have a Gtx275 XXX Edition, a 1TB Hard Drive and a decent cooling system and a decent case.

The pc is mainly used for Gaming an Network testing, as i am learning to be a penetration tester.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Also, i will be having Windows 7 64 bit. Cheers

You could probably keep the DDR2 if you went AMD, a Phenom II X4 and motherboard should come in at under £200.

    What about
    MSI 770-C45 AMD 770 AM3 DDR3 Support 8 channel Blu-ray Audio GB LAN ATX Motherboard £49.65

    AMD Phenom II X4 925 2.8GHz Socket AM3 8MB Cache Retail Box Processor £107.23

Hope it helps, and nearly £200, could make it cheaper but this is great for the price

Looks good tbh, but i was kinda looking to go for more RAM this time around, any ideas?

unless you are going to be using a 64 bit operating system 3gb is enough as it wont use anymore than that, it will see it but wont use it
