Reserved an item at PC World and when I went to pick it up they told me it was out of stock.

What's the point of me reserving it in the first place?

COLLECT @ STORE

Products marked as available for [email protected] can be selected for you to collect from a local PC World Store, subject to that store’s stock availability.

-Simply add your product to your basket as usual
-Your products will automatically be added to your Collect @ Store basket when you reach the “shopping basket” screen
-Enter your postcode to check stock availability at your nearest stores
-Decide which store to collect from
-We will then ask for your name and phone number to secure your stock
-When you visit the store, bring your reference number
-Staff at the Advice & Service centre will be able to help you with your order and answer any questions you might have about your product

Collect @ Store allows you to see which stores have your product in stock and ask for it to be set aside for you. You will then have until the end of the next trading day to collect and pay for your items. Please allow at least one hour between selecting your goods and arriving at the store to collect them. You will need to take your [email protected] print out and reference number with you. We try to make sure that [email protected] goods always remain available for purchase until you arrive at the store, however we cannot guarantee this. For this reason we do not take any payment from you until you come to our store. You can pay by cash or credit/debit card, but not by business account or by cheque. In the unlikely event that the goods are not available we will do everything we can to get the product from another PC World store or find you an acceptable alternative.

All [email protected] sales take place in our stores. Sales are therefore subject to our usual in store Terms and Conditions and the Manager's discretion. However, provided you bring your [email protected] print out and/or reference number with you, our store will supply the goods at the online price which applied when you chose to [email protected] - this may be cheaper than the usual in store price!

You must provide a telephone number when you place a [email protected] order. We may call you to ask whether and when you intend to collect the goods. If we are unable to contact you we may stop holding the goods available for you.

They should call if they are unable to fulfil a reserved order. Not much … They should call if they are unable to fulfil a reserved order. Not much point in maybe calling me about an order I reserved for pick up.Quite simply if they don't have the item in stock they should not claim to be able to reserve it in the first place. The whole point of reserving an item is so that it is reserved. Not reserve the item and maybe it will be reserved or maybe not.

agree its like argos if the item is in stock you can reserve if not then it wont let you reserve

pc world should be shut down there useless
