What's the best way to trade in a PC World/Currys Gift Card for cash? I have a gift card valued at £1004.99 that I would like to use either at Dixons or elsewhere.

I guess you could try selling it. Don't know of a way to swap it for another shop.

How the heck did you think about wasting that type of money with DSG. I only use them to have a look at products not buy :whistling:

Possibly claimed thier 14" portable but accidently put down they owned a Showcase cinema projector and fold out screen!

if it is a normal gift card sell it on fleabay etc, if it is an insurance claim card you could be stuck with it has you have to show the letter it came with and prove your id sometimes or address to be able to use it.

Aren't Dixons part of the same group? Is what you want to buy not available at Curry's as well?

you can only use an insurance of gift card in a store

Currys/Digital
PC World
there are no more Dixons stores.

most stores require the original letter as proof the card is yours

The point is that the products are cheaper in Dixons online than they are in PC World/Comet!

It was an insurance replacement card. But as they couldn't refund the money back on to it after a return instore, they transferred the balance to an official gift card.

it can only be used in a store then.
dixons is an online only store.

you could try getting the Currys or PC world store to price match Dixons online but officially they won't.

Dixons offers cheaper prices online because they have no stores anymore.

it woulda been so much easier if DSG had just done away with the name altogether.

It looks like I could get the cheaper prices at a Dixons Tax Free... just need to do some travelling first :P
