Hi all I'm on a pcp deal it's now due a service but they want to charge me over £200 when I know I can get it done for half that price! I'm pretty sure I've heard you can get it serviced elsewhere as long as you use original parts and thus keep the warranty & pcp deal valid, can anyone confirm this? Many thanks.

Its simple: For the manufactures warranty the ruling says that as long as service is completed as scheduled (not with parts not done b/c the mileage is not met etc) and uses manufactures exact parts then that's fine and the warranty is valid. However if of course the garage swindles you and does not use the parts specified or do the service fully you could be in trouble.

HOWEVER: If your lease says you must get the service completed at a franchised dealership, then that is what you must do.

Maybe time to hit the small print! I am referencing this from my job as a fleet manager!
